Broncos NFL 101

I had the pleasure of attending the Denver Broncos NFL 101 last night at Invesco Field at Mile High. It's an annual event that, until last year, was open to women only. I did not know this. Even though men are invited, I was one of two single guys there. If I'd known that, I might have spruced myself up a bit more!

The event was a lot of fun. Dinner and drinks were provided, which was very cool. Loved the coconut shrimp. The host for the rest of the evening was the lovely and talented Amy Van Dyken, who just loves reminding everyone how many gold medals she won in the Olympics. I won a t-shirt in a trivia contest because I knew who the Bronco's long snapper was (Mike Leach). Then we split up into three groups and attended breakout sessions on offense, defense and special teams. The session on offense was led by offensive assistant coach Jim Ryan and offensive lineman Ryan Harris. The session on defense was led by defensive line coach Bill Johnson and safety Curome Cox. The special teams session was taught by assistant coach Charlie Johnson and linebacker Louis Green (Looooooooooooooouuuuuuuuu!)

I got lots of pictures of the event. One of the coolest was of these two women from Berkeley--yes, in California--who just happen to have Broncos season tickets. They also have a stuffed animal named Mr. Tittle that they've been taking to stadiums around the country. I asked for them to pose for me. Here they are with Mr. Tittle in front of the two Lombardi Trophies:

The rest of my pictures can be found here. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the cute ladies I sat with during the breakout session on offense. I also think I know a couple of things that are going to happen on Sunday against the Chargers, but I'm sure as heck not saying anything! We'll see if I turn out to be right.
